    I felt for CHSAA a bit when I saw this tweet the other day. I can only imagine what these organizations are going through.



    Our baseball league is full going but they've already sent an email that said if you want to keep playing please follow the rules. Which tells me things are already dicey. I've long put actually finishing the season at 50-50. I've seen plenty of parents who don't give a crap, although our league isn't uber competitive so I haven't seen tons of pressure but a lot less kids opted out than I thought would happen. Still, one family on our team has been pretty clear they are on the live life side of all of this and yesterday at practice when the coach wanted their son to play catcher the dad offered to sanitize the gear. So that was something I didn't expect.

    It's definitely not easy what CHSAA is trying to navigate, knowing full well anything short of starting on time no matter what will be met with lots of vitriol.

    In terms of teams and leagues not following the rules, it's why bars are getting shut down here again: Because not everyone is following the rules. Again, our numbers are slightly going up but not like Florida, Texas and Arizona. In fact, the number of total tests that have come back positive is just a tick above 10 percent, a mark Polis has said is an important benchmark.

    Colorado is handling things pretty well, but I keep saying, Colorado is fine until it's not. Rushing to sports or playing without the precautions is one way to get to the until it's not. And that's the case anywhere.

    College sports, can it until this outbreak is under control. No need to put those kids in danger. Pro sports, so long as they can ensure they are safe for all involved, it isn't really about betterment of society, it's about seeing something normal. Watching West Ham and Chelsea right now makes me feel like I'm enjoying a lazy Saturday. We still have some messed up shit going on with the virus, but it could be a moral boost to see something we can collectively enjoy and argue about that isn't the dumb shit Trump said today or the heartbreaking numbers for Coronavirus.
