I wish people would stop with this Trump-will-quit narrative. When it doesn't happen, Trump will crow about the haters and the liberul media can suck it. Just like when everyone declared his campaign to be dead at different stops in the 2016 race. Trump is a damn cockroach. He won't be dead until we hear him crunch beneath our collective feet. If he happens to check into a roach motel and kick off (his campaign I mean) before November, we can deal with the "we heard rumors" then. But these stories don't help anything now.

Donald Trump is incapable of feeling shame, but I am not. I feel a deep sense of shame that he is the president of my country. I'm ashamed that he would use a Fourth of July celebration to hold an obnoxious campaign rally amidst so much suffering. In years past, presidents used this holiday to celebrate with immigrants who recently became U.S. citizens or with the families of young military veterans.

My sense of shame is also mixed with anger. Anger at this government which has failed so colossally in the fight against the coronavirus. Anger at Trump's party which through a sense of scared loyalty has propped him up when they could have taken him out before the pandemic hit.

Unhappy birthday, America.

 

Trumps not going anywhere. He’s never made more money in his life tha. The last 4 years. He keeps all the revenue from the merchandise sold but the re election committee buys it whole sale. It’s pure profit for the trumps. I can’t imagine his net worth is more than 10mil. Everything he has an Controlling interest in is mortgaged. He’s not going anywhere.
