Maybe it's the advance directive "Do Not Resuscitate" form?

Hey look, it's Trump's COVID-19 pandemic response plan!

Reading between the lines a little, it seems likely Trump doesn’t appreciate how bad it is. He is being given drugs that are specifically only recommended for patients with severe cases. His oxygen levels have apparently dipped multiple times. There is lung involvement and signs of pneumonia.

He probably does feel well enough to walk around the rooms and sign some papers. But with that profile, it could go downhill really fast, really easily.

The drugs trick you into thinking you feel well enough to do shit.

I remember being on Cipro years ago for walking pneumonia and thinking I could cover a basketball game
-> one of the dumbest choices I've ever made in my life

Him suddenly getting readmitted to Walter Reed in a week or two would actually spook the market and voters worse than any "best case" scenario.

    So we know that

    1) he had a high fever
    2) his oxygen levels have dropped multiple times
    3) he has clear lung involvement and probable pneumonia

no matter how you slice it, this is a severe case of COVID. It’s totally believable that he’s still able to walk around the suite in spurts, sign some papers, tell people he wants to go back to the White House in the next day or two. We have all known people or heard stories now about people who had it and were able to still walk and talk right up to the day they couldn’t.

He’s on the razor’s edge for the next few days. His best case is that he does continue to get slowly better. With the lung involvement, he’s going to have noticeable energy loss and breathing difficulty for a long time. There’s no way he can run a normal campaign schedule through the election itself.

His worst case is that the cough gets worse, oxygen levels drop again, suddenly he has to lay down. Coughing won’t stop, oxygen levels resist rising. He needs to be put under and intubated and it’s 50/50 he ever wakes up again. It’s played out tens of thousands of times for Americans under his watch the last six months.

I’m trying so hard not to be overconfident after last time, but I have a very hard time seeing how this isn’t the end of his political career short of a literal coup.

I’m conflicted. On the one hand I want them to pull the plug now. But I’d like him to longer a week or two in pain approximating the misery and anxiety he has caused hundreds of millions around the world.

Of the two people I know who have died, this is how it went for one.

He and his wife both get sick. Both get tested. Both positive. Both seem to improve while in the hospital, and wife gets discharged on Day 3. He stays in because his numbers aren't quite improving like his wife's, on day 4, they head south and by day 6 or 7 he's in the ICU and on a ventilator where he stays for about five weeks before he then dies.

He was in good shape and didn't have any underlying health conditions like Trump, who is overweight and has a history of heart problems.

What happens, often times in medical situations, is the drugs and oxygen they're getting make a person feel better and they think they can go on with their lives, and sometimes that's true, but most of the time, they just end up getting sicker because they go off the drugs and oxygen then that reverses any gains they've made.

I don't know what's going to happen with Trump, but the doctors involved in his care have been intentionally covering up his condition and my suspicion is that if it was great, they'd just say that, but they can't even keep track of their own lies.

What I don't understand, with access to the best specialists in the world, why the hell is an osteopath in charge? It makes no sense if the charge is to get and keep Trump healthy, but it makes perfect sense to have military officers, who report to the president, be the ones running the show as they can be ordered to do whatever the president wants.
