The culture war is profitable for a lot of people, as nostalgia is.

It's been the Christmas goose for the GOP my whole life.

 

Even Trump's own justice department is admitting that right-wing terrorism is a problem. Count the Trumpist acts of violence and compare that count to leftist acts in recent years. Trumpists plotted to kidnap two governors in just the past few months. Anything like that on the left? Any deadly plots unveiled lately against your boys Ron DeathSantis in Florida or Gov. Trumpfluffer in Georgia?

And some of us want peace. We are desperate for it. The people I talk to who have lost friends, colleagues, and family to COVID want more than anything else to move forward. This country has paid a dear price for the indulgence of a manchild who is devoid of empathy, who possesses no capacity for kindness. You're being specious about the pain people have suffered and their response to it. Please rethink that. People may express ideation that is out of character for most of us. What we really want is to heal and voting for Biden may be our only chance to do that.

 

Trump's an asshole.

Biden isn't.
