We've been writing about him for forty years.

Which is why it was such a terrible fucking surprise anyone anywhere would vote for him.

We write about him now because he is the President of the United States.

When he stops being the President of the United States, we will write about him less.

He’s going to leave a mark. Whenever he leaves. Is The Media supposed to ignore that? To put it another way, is criticism of Trump inherently guided by animus? Nope. The truth hurts. And it should not be spared.

Trump wants nothing better than to be an ex-President, throwing second guessing Twitter bombs from his toilet at Mar-a-Lago. He didn’t want to win the first time. He can monetize it through a bunch of shady people who take all the risk while he cashes checks.

The media will quit Trump when it is made to understand, and embraces the understanding, that its paying customers don't feel like reading or thinking about him anymore.

I won't be surprised if his lifelong pattern of dishonesty and financial mismanagement catches up with him once he leaves office. The guy has at least a billion dollars of debt, and who knows what revelations will come along with that now that people are focused on exposing him. If I am right about this, it's not like he will leave the news. But he won't matter any more than Kim Kardashian does.

Kim might matter to Trump, if she uses her powers of persuasion to get him a Presidential pardon one day.

If you’re a bank or creditor, are you going to want to do any business with Trump or his family?

Agree that his behavior of trying to simply intimidate people and schmooze regulators/politicians won’t work as well given the bad will he had created.

Exactly Ragu. He can do all the same crap he does now but without much influence and Biden, and hopefully many others, will just ignore him.

The thing about Trump is that everybody who slightly says something different than him or disagrees with him gets under his skin. He lets nothing go.

He won't be in public office. He might campaign for his daughter.
Who knows, he might actually be nicer since he is not trying to be elected. I could see him taking over for Limbaugh or guest hosting more often.

He'll do speeches and try to sell every piece of merchandise he can to pay his debt. Maybe he'll be charged. Maybe he won't.

I don't wish him dead. Maimed and sulking after a good asskicking by American voters is good enough for me.
