In a more perfect Fox world, the documents would have been hidden in Al Capone's vault. In the rest of the world, held in a hermetically-sealed mayonaise jar on Funk and Wagnalls' doorstep since noon yesterday.

 

He's playing to a crowd of conspiracy theorists. Their response to this development is not going to be, "he's lying;" it's "this is further proof of the conspiracy."

re: Trump's motivations and intelligence and whatever, my assumption has always been that he's of normal intelligence, but completely devoid of humility, and a completely driven by his ego. He started with such a huge amount of family money that he never really had to worry about conventional failure. A normal person would have felt shame or embarrassment at some point about the X number of failures, and his ability to just ignore them and move on would be admirable in a way, except that it leaves a trail of collateral, real, human damage, when it comes to things like Trump University or continuing to hold rallies, even though Herman Cain probably died because of it.

At times, I almost feel a kind of pity for Trump, because how he leads his life seems absolutely exhausting to me. Like, the motherfucker doesn't even have a pet, and seemingly doesn't have hobbies either. (Well, outside of golf, which more seems like an extension of his World Conquering Businessman Persona, as opposed to having a sincere love of the game.) He seems incapable of expressing some emotions - only rage, confidence, defiance.

I suspect Donald's real problem is that in his
entire life no one is ever really loved him. And certainly they don't love him now.
