Cooper has balanced things pretty well.

I live in a blue county that would go for more strict measures if it could, but because it touches parts of six cities, it has to have all six cities on board to do that. And the suburbs are always resisting. They won't go one step beyond what Cooper orders.

No. I think these rallies... for the most part in areas he's going to win... are to stroke his ego. He's calling out the people who will never abandon him and they're responding. No one else is.

It's almost satirical that the people who will never abandon Trump are being abandoned by him, time after time. The allegory of the past four years from these rallies/ego strokes is blatantly obvious (or oblivious, in this instance).

You’ve got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know… morons.

Carter got crushed in his re-election bid. Bush 41 did even worse (in terms of the popular vote percentage). Neither man f*cked up as badly as Trump. Or had as much corruption. Or racism. Or nepotism.

And yet, tragically, Trump could still prevail.

The most racist thing 41 ever said was that he loved his “brown grandchildren.” How quaint.
