Here’s the thing about SCOTUS, they’ve got their leanings but they have lifetime appointments and that means not worrying about blowbacks. They have recently denied GOP voting cases; they’re not the same clowns as Giuliani/Bannon/McConnell who will just sellout completely. They know if they tear down the institution their legacy will be tarnished greatly. That’s why they rule intellectually not purely based on emotion and hypocrisy. Would they vote a certain way on abortion? Yes bit just to keep a couple in place. They know that once Trump is out, they’ll still be on the SCOTUS.

 

Why did so many people vote for a three-year-old.

 

Looks like the U.S. has not cornered the market on right wing morons.

Of all the (often understandable) shortsighted ideas of the founding fathers, this one is near the top of the "oops" list.

US life expectancy in 1787: 38 years.

Point of (depressing) order - The life expectancy was artificially low because so many children died. If you made it to age 21, then typically, your expectancy was then somewhere in the range of 60 to 70, depending on your social class.
