Just reflecting on the flustercluck of 2000, and at least Gore and Bush were gentlemen about the whole thing, not freaking crybabies.

I mean, I think there's tools. But it's closer to what a college sports program does cultivating relationships with HS football coaches in a state. If a local news organization wants to foster loyalty in both readership/viewership and create interest, it has to invest in that, and then has to do something news orgs, especially on the local level, rarely do: Ask their employees to consider something bigger than a paycheck and a move to a higher market, such as impact on community. And then it has to make good on that impact.

It's long game that's *really* hard to play in an analytics age.

Yes and no. What you say is true, but in terms of winners and losers, a Biden victory with the Republicans retaining the Senate is the least-worst case scenario.

Fox News is honest to god talking about nothing but what a disaster this is for Democrats and the media.

"Second straight botched election by the media." Biden could end up with 290-306 votes.

The Biden stock market is up 3.18% in the first 2 and a half hours.

Extrapolated over four years, that's a stock market gain of eleventy billion percent.

In PA only 28% of absentee ballots counted and Biden gets about 80% of those so that’s what’s looking good

If so, and assuming Arizona has already been called, then Biden needs Nevada (leading) and Michigan (leading, barely) to get right to 270.
