Some have speculated that “long haulers” are “psycho-somatic.”

There seems to be “something to it,” however.

 

I think that there is certainly some amount of long-term damage being done.

I also think that it’s normal to feel like crap for months after a severe illness.

I also think many of the symptoms being self-reported are indistinguishable from the symptoms of the stress of living through a society-shaking, once-in-a-lifetime emergency.

And most of the studies on the subject have been pretty garbage and rely too much in self-report

I can now say that no matter how great a job the rabbi does, zoom funerals suck. It may have been ok if the family was together and only everyone else remote, but with everyone in their own homes, it was awful.

The good news is my brother tested negative and still has no symptoms and my sister, although weak as hell, is breathing better every day.
