I don't know about Little Marco (Trump's nickname for him) but I like the leaders of my nation to be smarter than me. A lot smarter.

 

Nothing will give me greater pleasure on Jan. 20 than to know the entitled, self-absorbed, smug assholes known as the Trump children (plus Jared) will be exiled to Mar a Largo. Get them the fuck out of my face. (I am not including Barron, though who knows what that poor kid will wind up being like in 10 years).

 

Air Force has already announced this was a routine mission that had nothing to do with any orders from DoD or the White House. They could be lying, I suppose, but why risk your career and awesome pension for a lame duck?

The following could just as easily be in a journalism or book thread, but there is a political point, and I want to put it where the most can get a kick out of it:
I'm reading a book that just happens to be describing a small, family-owned, chain paper.

It had the minimum wire service on national and international and very exhaustive coverage on service club and social club doings. Cut-rate syndicated columnists ranging from medium right to far right. Lots of city and county legal notices.

It was written in 1970.
