So this "House legalizes pot" thing sounds like a great ploy for the Georgia election.

McConnell is going to sit on it, and Democrats can campaign on, "if you want stuff like this passed, we need to win the runoffs."

 

I agree. It's ingenious.

 

How far have we come in 10 years that we're saying "campaigning on legalizing weed is a winning issue!"

 

Can't help but think about how many red counties in California didn't want pot shops when weed was legalized here, citing all the usual moral reasons. Until they saw how much tax revenue pot shops in other counties were raising.

 

Oh yeah. The gnashing of teeth and rending of garments over pot was a sight and I just went to visit my in-laws in Texifornia and there were ads for the shops that have opened up in the area. I chuckled.

 

Legal weed is a great deal for Illinois, which adds about 25 percent to the dispensary price. Keep that in mind when you take your cash in for weed/gummies/resin.

 

There's one about a quarter-mile down the road from me. Staying open during the pandemic, so at least in Santa Cruz County, they're an essential business. Local shop is even a sponsor of the symphony.

Hell, a couple of weeks ago an older lady came through my line and asked if we sold rolling papers.
