Help me understand why you think I'd think this is offensive.

I think the institution of the church is important - see the latest research on mental health that just came out related to the pandemic - but church, writ large, has given more passes for sin and other related bullshit in the last 50 years than it ever has.

America in general has enshrined blame-shifting and victimhood as a way of escaping personal responsibility.

Who said teachers were the problem?

I’ve said for 6 months the kids need to be in school and been accused of being a ghoul for suggesting it.

Yeah you're a ghoul because instead of "personal responsibility" of parents you want teachers to risk their health to ease the strain on them. Oh by the way, one of those teachers here is dealing with the consequences of that attitude. So no I'm not going to feel sorry for you for everyone being mean to you.

Poster Alma simply wants what is best for our school children.

    That is commendable.

On a side note, I have determined the joint issues I am having aren't COVID related at all. I added up that my current running shoes have between 800-850 miles on them since March, and that's about double what I normally put on a pair. Time for change.

Driftwood, I think you know I'm not a teacher but my daughter and her husband are. Her principle zoomed into my daughter's session and later told her, she makes virtual look seamless, and wants to use my daughters class as a model. Her class should be a model, and does look seamless because I'm her daycare provider AND "class" on Saturdays and Sundays when she test runs and plans her next class.
