I didn't infer that she's a cultist; what I was saying is that you can use examples like hers when discussing peacefully with cultists how Trump has failed us.

You did not. I didn’t mean to imply your inference. She sounded like a naive 21-year-old, that’s all.

OK . . . but what does that have to do with what Tiger said?

Yes, we know her Covid infection led to the heart problem (even though doc said it's not 100 percent sure).

But Tiger said, "people who have a cough or are grasping for breath or have chest pains and don't immediately assume they have COVID."

This woman ALREADY HAD Covid and was acutely aware that any later symptoms might have something to do with it (as far as I can tell, anyway).

I'm just not connecting the dots between "rudderless leadership" and "people with symptoms not immediately assuming they have COVID" and THIS WOMAN.

It seems as though Tiger was trying to find fault with . . . something. I'm just not seeing any fault in this story. YMMV.

    OK I'll try again...

ANYONE at ANY TIME ANYWHERE in the USA who has the slightest of symptoms that involve the lungs or the heart should immediately assume you have COVID and should do whatever it takes to get tested. That's not just my advice...the CDC flags the warning signs here:
    Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) – Symptoms

This young woman didn't do that because she had not received enough information to know that just because she'd had serious symptoms, "recovered," then tested negative didn't mean that she couldn't have it "again."

The failure to make this clear to everyone is obvious.

I think I understand what BTE is getting at. Her heart failure wasn't a new Covid infection. It was likely the original one that caused damage to her heart. She had the best information possible but that couldn't stop her heart from going kaput.

Now I don't know what she did or didn't do to originally get it, but you're right in as much as even minor symptoms need to be taken seriously and if you think you are out of the woods, you still need to be very observant of how you feel. Even if you're young, it can go bad. See also the basketball player.

According to what I found on COVID Tracking Project, states that voted for Biden reported a 9.6% positivity rate in the past seven days. States that voted for the Denialist in Chief had a 14.4% positivity rate.
The groups of states represented almost exactly their shares of the total population in positive cases and in deaths over the past seven days. The difference? The Trumpist states, while making up 42% of the population, took only 32% of the nation's tests.

Good news: Despite some (including Santa) not wearing masks, the event was outdoors, participants were kept an appropriate distance apart and Santa didn't have kids sit on his lap.

Bad news: Kids with autism and their families were potentially exposed to Covid after Santa tests positive three days after the event.

Question: Why didn't Santa wear a mask? Have it under the beard to keep the full effect going and have Santa project or have it over the beard to be an example to the kids.

    Still: FFS, et tu Santa

Maskless Santa Claus tests positive for COVID-19, special needs children potentially exposed

If none of these kids or their parents are testing positive, it's really not a big deal. The virus is pretty much everywhere right now. Everyone is being "potentially exposed" all the time.
