    Man, oh man. That just makes me so furious and simultaneously soul-pittingly sad. For so long some of us had been thinking, up to about a year ago, that Trump was doing damage, sure, but fortunately he hadn't really negatively impacted most Americans and boy weren't we lucky that he and his clown car coterie hadn't managed to really wreak havoc? Have to admit I was naive about that.

    I am *not* saying that. I don’t think the situation was much different with Reagan or Abe Lincoln. Or FDR, for that matter.

    Michelle Obama was a formidable person in the White House - and fiercely protective.

    The fallout of Trump and the GOP undermining the USPS is hitting me now. I shipped presents on Dec. 15 to in-laws who live 262 miles across the state. It’s Dec. 22 and per tracking info they are still at our local sorting facility. Looks like they won’t arrive by Christmas Eve at this rate.

    I'm sorry. After it took ten? eleven? days for a paperback book to get from one side of my suburb to another, we mailed our stuff the first of December. The last package got here today.
