McConnell and others may claim there isn't enough time, but that's bullshit. They could do this in a day if they really wanted, but McConnell is hoping to use it to slow Biden's agenda.

You are misunderstanding my point. The impeachment proceedings should begin immediately. They can move that fast if they want to. The confirmation of Justice Barrett proved that. McConnell won't do that because he wants it to be going on when President Biden and a Senate controlled by Democrats should be focusing on Biden's agenda.

 

Pretty sure the house is going to take care of impeachment this week.
