It's amazing how they really must think we're incredibly stupid when they want to act oblivious, yet cannot find a media microphone fast enough when they want to complain about something or someone - basically, anything and anyone - which the other party does that doesn't line up with their narratives.

Tommy Tuberville couldn’t spell “nihilism” if you gave him five minutes and spotted him all the consonants. But that’s what he represents. Voters here don’t think any politician will make their lives any easier (and often have decades of accumulated proof.) So especially in federal races, they usually vote for the loudest, angriest, most attention-grabbing asshole on offer. Pissing off the people they hate is a psychic reward, and it’s the only one they ever expect to get from Washington.
