That interception was like a sign-off on the game, though -- a really accurate reflection of the night, it seemed. The Chiefs didn't play well, but the whole game felt like a teachable moment to me. It was like the Bucs were going, "Watch, and learn" the whole time.

It could have been interesting had Hill caught that TD pass in the first quarter that bounced off his noggin, or if the ticky-tac, off-the-ball hold that negated the Honey Badger interception wasn't called. Didn't see anyone in the neutral zone on the made FG that turned into a TD either but we never got a good replay on that.

The Bucs were better. The Chiefs just didn't make any plays. The officials didn't decide the game, but they did not have a good first half, as the CBS analysts were quick to point out at halftime.

Shaquil Barrett had two sacks and made Mahomes run around like crazy and not in a good way from pretty much the first snap. He impacted the game as much as anyone, honestly. But with Brady doing as well as he did, even the plays Gronk made, the offense is just going to get noticed more for something like this. It isn't on the same level as Von Miller in Super Bowl 50 when he had 2.5 sacks and two forced fumbles that directly led to almost all of the Broncos points because the offense otherwise didn't do anything. Since the Tampa offense did make plays, the offense gets the award.

Next time he wants to destroy his cellphone, Brady should just ask Mahomes to hold it.

    I want the fix explained.

was it the whole refereeing crew, because it was more than one ref calling it.

was it the league who made the refs make these calls, were they all involved?

was it Andy Reid in on it by calling time outs?

    The Chiefs OLine?

    Tyreke Hills Face mask?

I looked here when it happened and didn't see anything, but the worst call by a ref probably was the missed tipped interception on the Chiefs' last possession that surely would have been a TD. I mean, it meant nothing for the outcome and the Bucs intercepted it anyway at the end, but I'm sure they would have liked to cap their Super Bowl with that pick 6. CBS was too busy blabbing with nothing left to play for to really notice it, one brief replay and Romo sort of said it was questionable and that was it. A sure to be forgotten but interesting play in the game.

Never been the biggest Brady fan but damn he was good today. Very cool to watch old dude do that. Seven rings is hard to fathom.
