Yeah, one thing the post Jan. 6 political landscape has proven is that Trump doesn't need to start a third party...the old, moneyed conservatives do.

Something has to be broken in one's brain to have believed at any point in 2015/16 that Donald J Trump had the answers to anything.

 

I agree. Capitol Police were completely unprepared — thus the resignations of the chief and both Congressional sergeants-at-arms — and some of their actions that day have to be viewed as a tactical withdrawal to prevent their officers getting senselessly massacred by the mob.
