I thought this was worthy of breaking out from the NBA thread. It sounds like it will not be played when fans return to the building.

It figured that an NBA team would be the first.

Another brick in the wall of fake patriotism goes down. We don’t need no thoughts control....

 

Always wondered why sports felt they had to do this, when you don't see it at the theater, symphony, opera, etc.

 

I covered a high school basketball game tonight that didn't start with an anthem. We all survived.

 

All of them should ditch it. It’s so fucking dumb.

 

Uncouple the anthem with sports. Uncouple insurance from employers. Make America better.

 

In sports, the anthem should only be played before the various US national team games begin and after a US athlete wins the gold.

 

And let the faux patriotism resume. Hope Cuban tells them to stick it.

 

Fucking crybabies.

Hopefully the National Anthem gets removed in all sports. Same thing with God Bless America, which is even dumber.
