Has Hurts talked to Donovan McNabb?

I don't know...You could just hire good people too so you don't need a scapegoat.

Easterby going from a "character coach" to having final say on the GM, roster and the overall direction of the franchise is pretty fascinated. His TED Talk to Cal McNair must've been a doozy.

It's possible he could improve right? I'm sure his emergence as a starter last year came was as much of a surprise to him as it was to everyone else.

Wentz was toast. At least Hurts could make some plays. But since the Eagles are gonna have to cut like 9 guys to deal with Wentz's cap hit, it doesn't matter. They'll be lucky to go 4-12.

    That could win the division.

I think he could improve as he adjusts to the speed difference between practice and live action NFL games, but teams are also going to have more tape on him too. I do think with 16 games in 2021-22, the Eagles will probably know one way or the other.

I love Jalen Hurts nearly as much as my own children but I never pictured him as a NFL starter. Half the league is ready to put Tua on an ice floe and that’s the guy he couldn’t beat out in Tuscaloosa.

It's weird with Hurts - he was always over 60 pct in college - even topped 70 pct his junior year at Bama.

Tua will be a very good fantasy value bet next summer. His numbers weren't as bad as all that.

That's nice, but when your WRs are so much better than the opposing corners and safeties, those numbers can be misleading.

In other words, it's throwing to areas. In the NFL, those areas becoming windows and usually smaller windows.

Shoot, look at Joey Harrington in Eugene. Take a look at Marcus Mariota. Try explaining them.

In a Wentz trade, I keep hearing that the Eagles want to be the Detroit in the Goff/Stafford trade. I can't think of the Eagles being anything but the LA role in a trade involving Wentz.

Philly actually wanting a first rounder is ludicrous.

Them WANTING a first rounder for Wentz isn't ludicrous...if they get a first rounder that's ludicrous. The Texans have every right to ask for a ton of picks for Watson and if the Seahawks wanted to trade Russell Wilson they would certainly get some significant draft capital.

The rest of these guys probably aren't going to net anywhere near what teams hope they will.

The Rams clearly think Stafford is the deciding factor in them getting to a Super Bowl so they were willing to overpay a little to get the guy and get rid of the guy they don't want.

I could see the Colts thinking Wentz puts them in a better position to win in the playoffs and would be willing to give up the 21st pick. But they would have to get something else, be it a swap of third-rounders or something to ease the blow of taking on a broken player with a horrible contract. But that's the only team that I would expect would consider that. What's probably going to happen is the same teams that are looking at Wentz will look at Garoppolo and Darnold and other guys that might be on the market (Kirk Cousins? Matt Ryan?) and be willing to pay less for a similar (possibly better) player.

The Colts should really be focusing on trying to dangle that No. 21 pick for Dad Prescott if they are going to give it up.
