I love the calls for his resignation. As if he’d actually do that.

 

Easy for me to get carried away right when it happens, but... this feels like a Christie-esque crash.

There are devastating ads to be made from this dumbass move. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him stay in the senate for a long time, but his future POTUS odds have to have just gone off a cliff.

If Texas actually left the union there would never be another Republican president, Texas would have to fund the wall with Mexico and it's own military, roads leading out of the state would be reduced to a few customs check points and the GOP would lose 2 senators and 36 house members. Sounds like a great plan to me.
