Absolutely. Kind of like being an internally promoted assistant. It’s the card that ADs hold and are eager to use at the earliest convenience.

See also Minnesota, between Glen Mason and P.J. Fleck.

I'm sorry, but my reaction to this story has been to imagine the CURRENT LSU coach trying to sweet talk some coed in that amazing voice of his and I can't stop laughing. I have no idea if Ed would do such a thing, but I just like to imagine it.

I'm not sure why Kansas would fire Miles for behavior at LSU.

I mean, he might be a creep, but he's got a contract and firing him for cause seems like a huge stretch.

On the other hand, he's had some high-profile assistants bail for other gigs which I took as a sign that they don't expect him to last past next season, but firing him now, for something he didn't do at Kansas seems like an invitation to get sued and lose.

There was an F4 tornado that came through here about twenty years ago. I routinely drove a back way to work in the morning, down a country four lane divided highway. The F4 went directly across it, flattening a trailer park on hill well off to the left and then going straight across. It looked like God's lawnmower had come through and cut all the trees down about fifteen feet above the ground, fifty yards or better wide. A little filling station where I sometimes stopped to buy a cold drink on the way home was simply gone. Nothing left of any part of it but a flat concrete pad with a few concrete blocks.

You never know what might happen.

Vahe at the Star calls for Miles to be fired and AD Long put on the scalding seat.

Just a guess here: Their search firm uncovered the rumors; somebody asked Miles about said rumors in the interview process; and he lied about it.

Let's be honest here. If your offensive coordinator leaves your Power 5 program for Middle Tennessee State, your Power 5 program is in trouble.
