We're at 51 hours post Moderna shot two. I had virtually no ill effects. Mrs. NC had a fever of just under 100 and felt crappy last night but is better today. I'm so grateful that we were able to get them.

Now they bumped up my eligibility to 3/22.

Sounds like I may have a choice of vaccine if I go to the mass vaccination site nearby. If I do, I'm leaning toward J&J because of its efficacy against variants, but won't be picky or disappointed if not available. That it's only one shot is a bonus.

Update: And now I'm scheduled for 3/22 at the mass vaccination site, with a choice of J&J or Pfizer.

I got the Moderna #2 a little more than 24 hours ago and, except for a sore arm where the needle went in a feeling of lethargy, I'm fine. My wife got hers 72 hours ago and she has been tired and sleeping for the past 2 days. No fever or chills for either of us, and no fever, either. We are still in the pipeline for the state program here in Virginia but won't need it since we got ours at a CVS. I did get an e-mail from my primary care office yesterday that said I was eligible for a shot from them. Won't need that one, either.

My mom got her second shot (Pfizer) tonight. Here’s hoping she has no after effects.

We had one my sophomore year that occurred after a soccer match.

They were trying to get the nets off the goal. The goals were not nailed down. Someone pulled up the back end of the goal while the kid was up trying to take the net off the crossbar. Net falls over, trapping the kid's head under the fallen crossbar.

Worse, I was familiar with the athletic director, who not only dealt with a family relative who was a soccer official, but also taught me American History and Contemporary American Problems my last two years in high school. Cannot imagine how much that played with his head. A nice guy who was a master in hiding pain and issues with jokes.

The only two constituencies left that are fertile ground for Teh Rona are Republicans and dumbass college kids. I'd love to see that Venn diagram.

The downward trend is definitely getting a little wobbly in some places.

Which is right about what a lot of us said would happen. Remember when I said six weeks ago that vaccinations vs. B117 was basically a math race and that I didn't see the justification for predicting a large surge but we could see a small plateau or slight raise in March/April?

Here we are. Just keep vaccinating and we'll power through it soon enough. Sort of like Israel, which had a plateau from Feb. 20-March 8 and now is falling steadily again.

Although it still varies by region. Here in California, things are still in a freefall. Our 7-day average positivity rate was over 17% in December and now it's down to 1.8%, the lowest it's ever been.

Trump secretly gets vaccine in January.

Tells supports it’s cool to get in March.

    What a brave leader.

Why did he need the vaccine when he was rushed to the hospital with the virus in September?
