Got my second Pfizer shot two days ago. To date no significant side effects. A little lethargic, but that's hard to differentiate from regular me. In two weeks, will I note this occasion by going to a place of business that will serve me a cold one whilst I watch the ballgame? Could be.

My friend, I recall you fretting that you had attended your last game. This is tremendous news.

Remember to continue to mask and social distance.

    I wouldn't blame you.

I went out to my local on Wednesday (~3 weeks since last shot). A couple observations.

-- It was surely over COVID capacity limits, but not crowded.
-- About a third of the crowd was probably the over-50 set, and let's hope most of them had vaccines.
-- The young ones were slightly flippant about masks.
-- It felt "normal," which was refreshingly lovely.

My intention is to execute my plan on Cape Cod, where in non-season early April the permanent population skews towards olds like myself, which is one reason Barnstable county, which is the Cape, has the highest vaccination rate in the state as of now. More Cape residents have been eligible for shots.

One of the paralegals in my sister's law office tested positive Friday, so a planned birthday party for my nephew today is off.
I get Pfizer #2 on April 1, so about April 15, I'll sally forth into the world (still masked).

It really does change your attitude about every aspect of your life for the better. And wait until that second one.

Spot on. Second dose scheduled. Assume I’ll have some side effects but hope not too bad. Then two weeks after that, first week of May, I’ll have the full vaccination.

Obviously won’t be totally back to normal. But getting close.

Anecdotal but so many people I know across the country have gotten a dose this weekend. Seems supply might be catching up? I’ll be curious when the dose numbers come out tomorrow. Could be wrong but feels like a record is going to happen.

3.1 million administered Saturday, another 3 million scheduled for today, Second- and third-highest amounts of the pandemic, topped only by 4.6 million on March 13.

The March 13 number was a statistical anomaly due to reporting method error. This weekend's figures are the actual highs.

Imagine how much bigger next weekend will be when most Big 10 fans suddenly have time on their hands.
