I’m not bothering to read the article, but did he have a theory as to why the WNBA is in a stronger position relative to the NWSL?

For example, why is the penalty for possession of crack harsher than that of an equal weight of cocaine?

Women's college hoops gets miles more coverage than women's college soccer.

Is it? The WNBA was kept afloat in its early years because it's supported by a much more solvent league. And to DanOregon's post, women's college basketball gets lots of airtime on ESPN because (IIRC) they're part of the larger overall NCAA contract. The NWSL is now on weekend CBS, not really a great time slot or anything, but I was under the impression they're doing OK-ish for a league that doesn't have the backing of a much larger organization. (I'm not sure what, if anything, it's getting from U.S. Soccer, but I doubt it's as much support as the WNBA got from the NBA.)

I follow a First Nation person on Twitter, so I see plenty of this stuff on my feed. How is this playing outside the First Nation community? Is the average Canadian horrified or is there enough anti-Native sentiment that's kind of ignoring or drowning it out? I wish it were a bigger story in our media.

Our state education commissioner recently referred to CRT as "propaganda."

Oh bull. The penalties for crack is higher because it is largely used by Black Americans in inner cities.
