Mom was in the middle wave of a family of eight siblings, six of whom are still alive. The two oldest, knocking on the door of 70, got vaccinated and were the most disciplined about masking despite being just as conservative as the rest of their kin. Apparently mid-60s and under hasn’t reached the clarity of being eyeball-to-eyeball with Father Time.

I am on a text chain with my former basketball team, and as soon as I mention the lack of vaccinations in red states, the two arguments are that both sides have politicized this and why aren’t more blacks vaccinated if this is a red/blue divide.

Sounds like they’d make good coffee machine repairmen.

I felt congested last night and this morning I wake up feeling like I had downed 10 beers the night before, but hadn’t. I flushed out my nose so I felt a little better. Temp is a little high for me. Time to get a Covid test in the AM.

Over 65s went like 51-48 for Trump, yet 80 percent of 'em have been vaxxed. I'm sure politics is one reason people refuse the vax, but there are a lot of other reasons, too, all stemming from the root cause of stubborn irrationality.

That kid isn’t a team player. He’s not willing to sacrifice for the team to win.

His brother played hockey at. ... Liberty University. His dad was a kicker for Florida State.

    Nuff said?

We’re already there in California. And of course Kevin TrumpCarthy puts out a tweet about how horrible that is for kids and it should be stopped. Luckily I’m in a spot where families don’t know who McCarthy is let alone give a shit what he thinks, but there are going to be many places where Karens are going to go harder against masks than they do CRT.

I know of a few Canadian kids, mostly girls, who have gone down to Liberty as it is sort of Last Chance I for D1 hockey. I don't think they fully appreciate what they are signing up for.
