We’ll, they’re not regarded as heroes, and she has been.

The media/Twitter approval rating on this is 97% or something. One writer from the LA Times, a Hat Guy and Clay Travis are a couple pebbles in the pond. Biles herself acknowledged the support. She’s being celebrated.

It’s a very different reaction than even Osaka, where the vibe from her fellow competitors was “eh.”

Biles didn’t fly back home, took the questions afterward, hasn’t hidden for one second since it happened. She went back out there, hugged her teammates and cheered for them. Character move. I think the only “hindsight” decision would have been after the trials - where she was awful - to admit she wasn’t right. But I think that’s where the weight of the world thing kicked in and she tried to go hard, and didn’t have it.

That first thing that he said "Nobody would publicly go against her" implies that if they were speaking privately to a friend, they would go against her. Do people really do that?

Good lord, small potatoes - day after day, year after year - the shitty takes from your friends and what you see and hear in the media. I have no idea why you feel you need to adjudicate them here.

USA-NED tied at 2-2 going into stoppage time.

And the US scores (EDIT: TWICE) in the second extra time, only to be called for offsides on the appeal.

What a shootout for the USWNT's GK! And that top corner rocket by Rapinoe to win it was <chef's kiss>.

Great fact from the broadcast: Zverev is one of only three players to have beaten Nadal on clay, Federer on grass AND Djokovic on hard court.

They didn't say who the other two are.
