When I was about 7 or 8, my parents (as Santa) got me one of these for Christmas.


I loved it and it was a good training tool, although you had to be a little careful how you use it when throwing a hardball. My dad would pitch to me in the front yard with this thing as a "catcher," and one time it took an odd rebound and hit me in the face. I was OK, but it hurt like heck for a few minutes.

 

Ok, I'm going to bite, since you told that story and it drew a response with the pitch-back net. You *did* notice that the legs of that trampoline are impaled into the siding of the house, right? I mean, I'm like "Surely he saw that..."

There's no telling how many times I threw a tennis ball against the brick wall of my house and gloved the rebound. I am absolutely of that generation.
