It's very telling when the weightlifter from the Republic of Georgia looks like he could fit in at any truck stop in the State of Georgia. (And I wonder how many folks near me see the uniforms and think Georgia sent its own Olympic delegation? "Go, you hairy Dawgs!")

Last Winter Olympics I watched the opening ceremonies with my then 6-year-old daughter. After I spent a half-hour trying to make her understand there was no Team Alabama because individual states weren’t competing, in walks the Georgia delegation.

Jan Vesely played for the Czech Republic in its loss to the USA
Vesely had an undistinguished three-year career with the Wizards but he was the sixth pick of the 2011 draft
This was the highlight of his NBA career

And he lost because he couldn’t deal with the pressure.

    Was his point disproven?

I think that if you are going to criticize someone for something you look bad when you go out and do it yourself, that's all.

Biles' record seems to show that she deals with pressure just fine.
