    Wasn't it even before the pandemic that Vermont was offering cash incentives to remote workers to come live there?

    Yes but that program was/is a hokey marketing scheme and didn't pan out.

    The pandemic housing boom did much more for Vermont's economy.

    Walter's a good reporter using bad math. That's less than 40,000 new people in a state with about 22 million people. There are any number of reasons why Trump took Florida. Higher Republican turnout than registered Democratic turnout all over the state was the biggest one.
