So on Left, Right and Center this week they had on an Afghan advisor from Obama First Administration who made what was to me a surprising comment: Turns out we actually haven't been building anything in Afghanistan since 2012, when Congress (and the Obama Administration) put an end to it. Instead, we just sent lawyers, guns and money more or less since then. His point was if we'd actually done it, we maybe would have succeeded in building up the government.
