My father-in-law’s wife is from Puerto Rico. ( they didn’t get married until my wife was 30 so stepmother isn’t a word). We got a couple of belts of bourbon in her last weekend. She echoed a lot of these same statements. It was surreal because on one hand she talked about the racism she gets because she isn’t fully white, but she also had a lot of “love it or leave it” mentality in there when it came to how liberals react. In her mind, Confederate statues are AOK.

 

Things are about to get fun, y'all. Not since the death of Gregory Hines has there been the sort of tap dancing we're about to witness.

I'll be generous and say there are a few there whose greatest crime is being a literal stupid person, only eclipsed by the even more stupid people in their district. They aren't bad, just not intelligent people who somehow got elected.
Others are just asshats. They don't care what they destroy as long as they are at the center of it.
More than one needs to be publicly tried, convicted, and at a minimum very visibly sent away for the rest of their natural lives.
