    I am also with you.

So goeth for anybody who lost someone this year.

I don’t knitter if it was the same for you, but the insurrection turned out to be a good teaching tool and helped me teach stuff I normally don’t like covering.

And I had a similar experience personally in 21. Few things in my life can top it. Wish Covid wasn’t there to spoil some of it, but it was a good year for the Mrs. and I.

Sincerest condolences. Life is beautiful but you have to deal with the pain too. Here’s wishing great people to offer you comfort as you mourn and to find a peace that surpasses all understanding from them. I know those are shallow, message board words from a faceless user, but I do wish that for you in some way.

I guess 2021 just had to provide one final steel-toed kick in the nuts for us.

Five months after losing Dikusha, we lost our other dog tonight.

He seemed fine all day. Ate well, went for morning walk. When we took him out for a late afternoon walk, we noticed his leg was shaking. And his muzzle. It was obvious he didn't want to go on a walk, so we returned home. After a few minutes, he threw up. A few minutes later, he threw up again. OK, we think maybe he ate something that didn't agree with him or maybe has a bug. So we planned on taking him to the vet the next morning.

He still has the presence of mind to go out and poop, and he's drinking a lot. But then he goes outside and lays down. He NEVER does that. Wife worried that he might walk away, so we brought him back in. After a few minutes, he whines a little, then gives a couple of last breaths.

Just like that. Wife thinks maybe some neighbor's yard had been sprayed with pesticides and he got it on his paws and licked them (he did that a lot). I have no fucking clue. A dog who seemed wonderfully healthy nine hours ago is dead. Just got back from taking him to be aqua cremated.

Goodbye Snezhok (aka Snowball), and fuck you, 2021. :(

You're heard, you are cared for, and as motley as we can be on The Island of Misfit Toys, we are here for you as much as invisible friends can be present.

I hope 2022 treats you better than 2021 did.

I think I'll be "marching" into 2022 with the enthusiam of a barefoot walk into a 7-year old Lego enthusiast's bedroom.

    My deepest condolences, BTE.

I don't think I would even be able to function in your shoes right now, losing a pup that fast. I hope for a better 2022 for you and Mrs.
