We need to isolate Russia completely, freeze every asset, cut it off from the rest of the world.

But I think we still need to take every action we can reasonably take against Putin and his oligarch stooges.

Even with their oil at risk, I guess Europe understands they can't 'manage' Putin any longer. They actually have to do something about him.

Completely isolating Russia is one way to do this.

I hope the 'nuclear' spin-up is his last rhetorical escalation before agreeing to a peace conference.

When you get right down to it, the nuclear card is really the only card Putin has against the Western countries when they are unified as they are now. He cannot compete economically, technologically or as we are seeing now, not really in conventional military force either. His people have no desire to follow his Soviet empire dream. That's why IMO his nuclear move was aimed as much at Russians as the rest of us. It's a way of saying they are under real threat if they don't get behind him.
