So if Joe Biden doesn't move to the left and start governing like a gosh darn progressive, young voters are going to put the GOP in office? I think AOC is right, and these young voters are morons.

She's not smart about one thing: Almost all of the far-left members of the House and Senate don't have re-election problems. Where they're going to lose seats are the moderates in purpleish districts. And when they're in the minority, the far left will be minimized like sweeping dead roaches under a rug by the GOP majority. Whenever AOC and the other firebrands go batshit crazy, it never hurts them, only the middle-of-the-road Dems.

"Batshit crazy" is not apparent in the linked quote, but okay...

Moderates in purple districts are going to lose out on progressives who will sit home instead vote for a party that hasn't taken care of any of their promises. Who is going to replace those voters?

This is not exactly how it works. Non-voters don't stay home out of disappointment (if they care enough to feel that, they care enough to vote). They stay home out of apathy and lethargy. A significant percentage of voters in Presidential election years -- of both parties-- just don't feel that connection to their choice of representative or Senator at all. It's the flip side of the "President as Wizard King" idea that creates so much damage to our politics.
