There is a free version of Peacock. Will the games be there?

    EDIT: Nope

The first game (Chicago White Sox vs. Boston Red Sox from Fenway Park on May 8 at 11:30 a.m. ET) will be simulcast on the NBC broadcast network, with the remaining 17 games available exclusively on Peacock’s premium service.

That's stupid, but what makes it different than the NFL selling Thursday night to Amazon?

If you have Comcast, Peacock Premium is free.

The Amazon NFL games will air on over-the-air TV in the markets of the teams playing. So if the Broncos play on a Thursday night, I can still see it on the local NBC affiliate.

All it took was them clearing out every guaranteed contract they have for the next five years to open their wallets!

All jokes aside, if they weren’t going to delve into free agency this was a smart place to put their money.

Now about that Bieber extension…(I know it’s not happening. he will and should bet on himself by playing out the string.)

I'd immediately dismiss this as satire, but it's from the New York Times and the column includes the standard "sports ball is stupid and bad" suggestion that if Mike Trout is worth $26 million a year then a symphony conductor is worth $75 million a year, so who knows?

"Baton average is built into the language of the sport, but it’s simply not a useful statistic and if you want to analyze a player properly, it’s something you don’t want to pay close attention to at all." -- Fangraphs.

I want to see his OPUS+ before I comment further.

As an old dude in my office, I admit I see youngsters doing things differently than when I was their age and wonder about that, but I have never lectured any of them on "the right way" to practice law.

Acuna says Freeman not missed, 'lots of clashes'

Wow, never seen someone kick a perceived "leader" so quickly after a championship. (Now Acuna was on the shelf during playoffs and Freeman was on the field.)

Is it me, or does it seem like Hayes left a lot of money on the table?
