Congrats to,Justice Jackson, but aren’t we making too much of the first black female SCJ? She’s the 6th female, third black. There’s a Hispanic female but never a Hispanic male. There’s been no Asians, no openly gay, no openly atheists or non Jewish or Christian. As long as she’s healthy, she cancels, to a certain extent, sister Amy’s vote, for decades. But first female black justice is now just a note,

This coroner was definitely full time. It wasn't in the smallest county, but certainly not one of the biggest. I'd have to go find it, but I know they brought in personnel from other county coroner's officers to help process the scene and to retrieve as much of their remains, which were sent to a larger county (Mesa) for identification and processing. Want to say it was 12 other counties who sent coroners or their staff to help. It was a very large scene.

Again, we got off to a rough start with him, but eventually turned out OK and was part of the county crew that took myself and seven other family members up to the site 10 months later and answered a lot of our questions.

I do think what abb is saying has some merit, even if I disagree with how he’s expressing it. We as a society get too fixated on who is the first anything, and how few of X there have been. Let’s point out that there have been hundreds of white dudes with limited perspectives on the Supreme Court as opposed to the first of something. Black and Latino and Asian Americans don’t have a uniform experience, but theirs share many common traits (namely racial and ethnic discrimination).
