Or that could just be a token that he's kept. It would be pretty ridiculous for her to have just been around the whole time in Breaking Bad but never even make an appearance.

The Mexican storyline is so much better than the Kim/Saul storyline, IMO.
Nacho and Lalo are by far the most interesting characters in the show.

The Kim storyline will be the slow-moving one that eventually pays off better.

Nacho’s storyline makes loud noises. Kim’s will gut everybody.

I’ve been convinced for awhile Kim will not survive this series.

The Jimmy story hasnt been as good post Chuck.

The Nacho story requires so much more intimate knowledge of BB to follow along though. My mother picked up Saul early because she enjoyed Jimmy Chuck and Kim and has absolutely no idea who Gus is, what the super lab is. Explained it 4-5 times but without watching BB she can’t get it.

The first two seasons the callbacks were just that, Easter eggs unessential to following the story. Since Gus came back its been the opposite.

Not saying thats a bad thing, but I think it explains the shift in focus from Jimmy to Nacho, Gus and Mike.

I’ve only seen the first 15 minutes or so. Can’t wait to get some more Gene time.

    Watching that cold open: WTF!?
Watching the end scene: Awww, that's actually kind of sweet.

The end scene. The only way he could “depart” with any dignity, I suppose.

Or go out on his own terms. That was a hell of a scene, though.

It sucks we don’t get any more Michael Mando in this universe, unless there are flashbacks. What an incredible character he helped build.

I typically watch each ep twice before deleting it off my DVR. Watching the intro the second time, after watching the end scene the first time, made me sad and happy all at once. Helluva visual.

Ah, Nacho. We hardly knew ye.

Actually, we were racking our brains on whether Nacho ever showed up in Breaking Bad.
