Ocean city Maryland had Phillips House (haven’t been there in a while, so I don’t know if it still exists), which I think was essentially the same. My friends and I spent a great deal of time there at least one night every summer trip there. Not a great deal for me since I don’t eat seafood. But the steaks were good too. I think it was relatively expensive for back then (90s), but I’m also pretty sure we got our money’s worth.

 

And, it’s gone, sort of, but replaced.

There were a few Philips Crab places in OC. there was a buffet either in Fenwick Island or OC just a couple of blocks from the line. We took the kids there a couple of times 20 years ago.. HUGE selection, but nothing really good. There are a few good crab houses in the OC area, Higgins to name one.

 

I can say from proud experience, the ones at Cleveland Municipal were NOT for handwashing.
