I'm in Houston, and it'll make the weekend news broadcasts. However, so does college baseball, probably because the Astros are the only pro team alive right now, with the Rockets eliminated from playoff contention in October, roughly.

  4. I agree with this point.

I was surprised that in Week 1, the Birmingham game drew 17,500 fans. Not bad. Then I flipped on another game that same weekend, without the Birmingham “home team” playing, and it couldn’t have been more than 2,500. What’s the difference, other than the name on the jersey?

Interestingly enough, I have not seen the USFL report any attendance figures since that first game.

The USFL is embarrassing. You can’t find scores or stats on their webpage but you can sure as hell buy an NFT or get fired for wanting pizza

Any coverage of the USFL is too much.

Scores are on the top of theusfl.com including a link to the game beginning later this afternoon.

The league is a Seinfeld line bought to life. If ever the teams play in their hometowns, it's rooting for underwear.

And yet, we now have two threads on it.

The Fox and NBC tv affiliates in NYC mention game results in their sports reports, probably because the two networks broadcast many of the games. Nothing about the USFL is ever said on the other tv stations.
