Presuming LIV has a PR staff, it might want to put together an e-mail list of golf writers to schlep its news and schmooze to them.

They have a media site and I get press releases, even though @poindexter thinks I am the PR staff.

What's your favorite part of the LIV tour, @playthrough - the bonesawing Saudis, or the traitorous ex president?

My favorite is them taking away all of the shitheads I never liked in the first place.

You know, I had not noticed that....Reed, Bryson, Bubba, Phil (now version), Sergio, Dustin, Brooks....there's a through line there. Stenson has been probably a really good guy for a long time, but he's past his prime so I'll give him a pass. At least until now, no big names who are great guys have defected.

There's a risk there for the LIV players, the numbers on paper are great, but say this folds in the middle of next year, who's forcing the Saudi's to make the payments? Those folks aren't stupid, there are several layers of LLCs and holding companies and they may stiff the players, like the USFL.

What makes you think this will fold in a year?

I still want the answer to: What is LIV's end game? To nuke the PGA Tour?

Being in the golf media business -- the pageviews.

I'm just pointing out a possibility. Given how long I've been around, I've seen this before where an "upstart" tries to upend the existing structure and even while investors have strong balance sheets, they certainly are not putting their entire portfolio at risk, even though that assumption is made.

I've never looked into whether the Saudi fund has walked out on anyone, just thinking maybe.

Fair enough. I too have seen these "upstarts." I guess I see it that there is a bottomless pit of (filthy) money. Again, what is the end game? That's what I would like to know.

Saudi fund walking out on these guys would cause me gunt-busting laughter. What are they gonna do about it? Get Justine Reed and that quacky wife of Pat Perez to ask to speak to the manager?

That it is just as easy for me to ignore as the PGA. I watch a bit of the Masters, possibly some of the final round of another major or two. Maybe.

I just have more incentive to never, ever turn on LIV.
