Roe v. Wade to be overturned?

I was told repeatedly that non-medical-necessity abortions after 20 weeks simply don't happen.

 

Not by me. But point taken.

Not sure how I feel about the state issuing a subpoena for her Facebook posts, then prosecuting a 17-year-old girl as an adult - when her mother was the likely instigator.

All in all, probably better for everyone if she hadn't gotten pregnant.

 

I was told that women weren't going to be prosecuted for having abortions.

 

We're on the horns of a dilemma then, aren't we?

 

I'm quite sure how I feel: I don't like it worth a shit.

Celeste and her mother were charged in July with allegedly removing, concealing or abandoning a dead human body and concealing the death of another person after the Norfolk Police Department received a tip claiming Celeste had miscarried in April at 23 weeks of pregnancy and secretly buried the fetus with her mother's help.


Exactly how the Stasi worked for all those years in East Germany. A relatively small domestic intelligence agency overseeing every citizen reporting on every other citizen.

 

My wager ... that tip originated with Celeste telling a horrified someone -- a friend, maybe the baby's father uterine contents' co-creator -- what she'd done disposal-wise.

 

No, we're not. A knocked up 17 year old is.

 

She almost certainly had a dozen-ish weeks during which a perfectly legal abortion was an option for her.

 

If only young girls in her predicament also had a dozen-ish weeks of quality, all-options-covered, sex education as well.
