OK, I'm a card carrying WASP. The first ancestor to hit these shores was Peter Gee in 1650, buried in the Old Granary graveyard in Boston one row behind Benjamin fucking Franklin. I don't know why foreign spies tried to infiltrate Mar-a-Lago when they coulda hired me. I have all the moves. One of my sisters-in-law has even better moves. She happily walked into Ross Perot's estate on Bermuda (I followed much less happily) in 1992, when he was running for President, and cheerily and easily talked us past the Secret Service detail. Of course, she wouldn't use a Mar-a-Lago member to scrape dogshit off her golf shoes.

Cool story. But Franklin's buried in Philadelphia.

It's some guy like that. I mean, I've been there many times. Looked it up. My bad. It was Paul Revere.

Have to say, I'm starting to love the movement of "Dark Brandon" on Twitter in support of Joe.

He's clearly decided to fight. That may be his legacy.

Now I've heard there was a secret court
That Merrick played, and it pleased the sort
But you don't really care for conmen, do you?
It goes like this, plead the fifth
The loser falls, the major grifts
    The baffled king composing Magalujah
    Magalujah, Magalujah
    Magalujah, Magalujah

He rammed shit down Republicans’ throats for three months and then took the foot off the gas. They clearly miscalculated with Manchin and Sinema re: BBB. You gotta run it up when you can, and that would’ve been a nice way to end the first quarter.

Is it me or does this kind of match the first two years of the Clinton Administration in that there was a ton of flailing around in the early going but they got up to speed eventually (though in the case of Clinton, it probably took him longer considering the Contract On/With America election was 1994)?
