Can't go wrong either way. City on a Hill is great. A lot less nuanced than Succession.

The 70's were great. It was a great time to grow up.

City on a Hill is a The Wire wannabe. Not as well written. It's a kind of caricature of the city and the personal stuff is cliche. And bad Boston accent on top.

Watched episode 1 last night. I'll try a second one, but it's pretty obvious they're trying to do an Empire/Nashville thing. Susan Sarandon = Connie Britton. Trace Adkins = J.D. Souther.

No Emmy thread? Good that Tom from Succession won.

Better that Brett won for Roy Kent. Roy is my spirit animal.

Sheryl Lee Ralph was awesome. Both of the comedy supporting actors were stacked.

I’m old enough to have a crush on her from It’s a Living. I think she was shocked that Janelle James didn’t win.

Geena Davis is a tv star???

OK, upon further review, she does good work.

Twitter freaking out that Norm MacDonald was nominated for an award but not in the In Memoriam but oops, he was in last year.

Others are outraged about no Olivia Newton-John, but just cuz she was on TV occasionally doesn’t make her a TV actor.
