I like Andrew Zimmern, but the mashup chinese/tiki restaurant he opened in MSP before Covid was a disaster.

Lucky Cricket it was called. Holy crap it was savaged in reviews and on social media.

We went a couple of times and were really disappointed by the food, including the dumplings. We love dumplings.

Everybody makes mistakes, onward.

 

I thought the place was a fiction, just a word used to describe a vagina that looked like 2 pieces of well done roast beef suspended from a wire hanger

 

When I lived out west in this great country of ours decades ago I remember Jack in the Box and Whataburger as awful.

Have things changed?

I went to Jack in the Box in Dallas a couple falls ago and it was god awful. The only good thing was it was within walking distance of my hotel, my car keys were locked in my friends' room and they were sleeping. I had to go somewhere to eat. Looking back on it I would have rather gone hungry.

Fast food restaurants might be the SJ. com equivalent of SQUIRREL!
