Colleges simply cannot invite people as "speakers" or in any context to their campus if the presence of said people will likely result in violence by either side. It's not worth the trouble.
As to the founder of the Proud Boys klan specifically, I suspect his appearance will be neither a stand-up comedy gig nor a motivational speech about entrepreneurial spirit nor a fashion show.
The notion that we must accept all sides and all views is how we got to this point in our country in the first place.
Penn State has made a grave error. It either welcomes a terrorist to its midst and runs the risk of violence or it rescinds the invitation and gets accused of promoting Cancel Culture. It needs to select the latter option. It should have taken a pass in the first place.
