The anti-Semitism coming to a boil at the end of the election cycle reminds me of the blatant racism reaching a crescendo at the end of October 2016. I remember thinking there was surely no way America was going to reward such a debased political movement while dreading in my heart that it was about to do just that. Six years later we’ve gained zero real ground against the white nationalists, and they aren’t even going to pretend to operate the machinery of government this time before stripping out the gears.

Conservative justices may end affirmative action in college admissions — and beyond

 

If they were smart, and they are not, that would just quote Sandra Day O’Conner in her opinion upholding affirmative action. She said the remedy was needed at the time but it’s not a permanent remedy that will always be available. The current court can say 40 years of Affirmative Action has been sufficient a remedy for disparate impact cases where discrimination is infected by numbers but without proving actual discriminatory intent. Where actual individual discrimination is proven, all remedies are available. But the mentally defective Thomas and the rest of the evil Catholic majority will just slash and burn remedies for discrimination.
