When Valerie Bertanelli is trolling you …

There was a delicious rumor that Valerie had changed her name to "Elon Musk" for fun this weekend and was retweeting liberal stances. Whether that's true, I laughed when I saw "Elon Musk retweeted" on a bunch of posts you know the real weasel couldn't have read.

    Fight flame with flame.

He’s so, so bad at this. Too funny to watch an egomaniac flailing.

He wants people to talk about him. Worshipping him is the gravy, but more than anything else, he just wants a ton of people talking about his last batshit Tweet.

Haven't we all said a million times that the world would be better off if Twitter would just go away?
Now it looks like we might get our wish and we can't handle it. This is why we can't be happy.

Elon Musk got mad at being mocked by so many people, he suspended Kathy Griffin. When does Cleveland State get put back on probation?

First time on this thread, but it’s becoming clear that the whole point of this is for Elon to attempt to manipulate media in his favor, correct?

I don't think any of this is the result of some great plan. The guy just says stuff that seems clever when it pops into his head.

Musk is a loudmouth troll who announced on a whim that he was going to buy Twitter because he thought it was funny and people would talk about him. Then he fucked up and couldn't get out of the (terrible, terrible) deal.

So, now he's trying to position it as the ultimate badass marketplace of ideas, but the ideas he likes are stupid and his followers are racist imbeciles... and advertisers want nothing to do with that, so his plans to increase the value of Twitter are actively tanking its income.

Ultimately he'd like to control the discourse of the country by controlling one of its key sources of social dialogue. But that takes work he doesn't have any interest in doing, so he's probably screwed.
