We discussed it earlier in one of the gaming threads, but both were badly written and deserve to go down in flames. They also turned off a lot of voters by beginning saturation advertising the week of the primaries in June.

Not so much. Persons with ovaries don't like their husbands turning parlays. Doesn't violate common sense.

I wouldn't like the notion of me betting on parlays, either, after I mentally wagered $1,000 on an imaginary parlay fronted by the certainty that UNC would cover a 7-point spread over lowly Virginia.

Don’t jinx it! My wife and I were hoping for one “delicious” result heading to a difficult night for Dems. This could be that result.

it will be like the special election last time — all the other races will show how important it means either 50-50 or 51-49 gop and likely break the same way

At this point it's anything but "difficult" for the Dems. There's a chance they emerge with status quo or (maybe even better?) a teensy-weensy Republican majority that hamstrings McCarthy and lets the nuts hang out for a 2024 whacking.
